Diadema is the de-facto leader of the Pergamon border Guard, an often forgotten and neglected branch of the Keep Guard. Just like the Keep Guard, they became less of a priority as the clan grew and found safety in numbers but unlike the Keep Guard, Matriarch Neria seems to have no plans to improve their state. Diadema was hired unofficially and she has done her own hiring unofficially. Sometimes she wonders if the Matriarch and the Council even know she's doing her job. But all that matters is that the Keep Guard knows and her little band of forest guards are still on a payroll. Maybe she even prefers is that way, so the plans of the new Keep Guard captain, Eudoxia, to unite the Guards are a source of conflicting feelings for her.
