Biography
Tocklaneth’s clan may have had misled roots, but they died heroes. The story began when young Tocklaneth, a golden-scaled Guardian, is tasked to protect a scroll, which he foolishly deems to have no worth. Despite his aging mentor Freya’s warning, he gives it away hastily to two Plague dragons...
In an attempt to right her apprentice’s mistake, Freya challenges the two Plague rogues, and loses her life. It is deemed that Tock must be punished.
His clan clips the young dragon’s wings, banishes him, and informs him that if he is not off their territory by nightfall, he will be executed.
Terrified and broken-spirited, Tocklaneth flees his homeland. He soon meets a frail blue-grey Fae, who was left to die. Tock nurses the Fae, named Rhainee, back to health and confesses why he’s all alone. Rhainee places the idea in his head to set things right.
They discover that the scroll Tocklaneth was charged with guarding was actually the last remaining strain of the viral infection that plagued nature in the Third Age. The contagion had returned to the Viridian Labyrinth.
Tock, along with his ever-growing clan, set out on a journey to find a means to control the spreading infection. In the end, it is sacrifice of one flight to save the many that will bring the contagion to an end.
I am the last. I am Amaroq. With me, the story lives on. The clan begins anew.
