You head past the other resident dens of the warren, stopping to give a morning greeting to Arystanbek, whose den is located just at the end of this particular section of the warren. By now you've caught on to the fact that many of the dragons in this sector occasionally greet the chocolate tabby as part of their morning wakeup. It's strange, actually, pretty much every dragon here likes cats. Maybe one or two don't, but for the most part they're very popular. You would've thought there was a differing in opinions in such a large community but.. perhaps not.

You poke your head in to murmur a good morning, but the words don't escape your mouth for a moment. Arystanbek is playing.. something. He stops as you look into the den, purring, and the long whiplike object immediately vanishes. It had a piece of cloth and a bead stuck at the end. Maybe it was some rope or something someone was shaking about for him to chase? There's no one you can see though. Strange. Perhaps you were just seeing things though, you only woke up a little while ago.

You dip your head to the fluffy tom, and continue on your way.

The tail snakes back into view. On the other side of the room a pair of glowing purple eyes watch as Arystanbek resumes his play hunt.


"You can leave at any time, you know."
Arystanbek watched the massive dragon shift his weight, lying down. Why did he insist on staying here? Who knows. These dragons always seemed to pick some object or creature they liked. Then, they spent all their time doting on it and protecting it. They were very strange! Arystanbek wondered why he was here.

Maybe he likes my den. It is very comfy.

Occasionally Hiding Dragon, as the tabby had come to call him, would go out and hunt. He'd come back with small morsels, presumably so that no one could tell he'd been out at all. Arystanbek knew better though, Hiding Dragon had eaten more than just a rat or two on his outing.

He was a massive dragon, and he was also good at fishing. Sometimes he came back with trout, and that pleased the mainecoon quite a bit, as Hiding Dragon would always share it with him. Hiding was a very kind beast, or at least to his 'charge'.. whatever that meant.

Arystanbek however, was not stupid despite knowing this.
Hiding Dragon was very, very powerful. He was quite safe with the shadow like tomdragon circling his den. His companion's tail nearly reached the entrance to the den, and his head halfway to the other end. Arystanbek trusted Hiding not to hurt him, but the knowledge that this giant beast could flatten him with a swipe of the paw did not go over his head.

If he so wished, Hiding Dragon could kill the little king in seconds. He just didn't want to. And if anyone else tried..
