Back in my day, dragons liked to explore the world. So what if I’m referring to like two years ago? That’s a pretty long time. Do you remember what you were doing two years ago? Were you just chillin’ in the same old spot you’re in right now? Yea, probably. Look, don’t get me wrong here – I ain’t that old and I ain’t tryin’ to offend nobody – but the whole travellin’ thing seems to have really fallen outta favor.

When I was a hatchling, my momma took me out on the town pretty often. If it wasn’t a weekend getaway to Lanternlea Port (fantastic views, by the way) or Everbloom Gardens (best smellin’ place I’ve ever been), she’d be scribblin’ away at our large solid oak desk in the middle of the lair plannin’ our next escapade. You shoulda seen all those papers. She even published newsletters about our adventures! I guess you could call her one of those travel bloggers or something. They were a hit. Our clan loved ‘em! Nowadays though, ya don’t see a lot of youngins travelin’ this way or that. Hell, it’s even rarer to see someone readin’ a paper. C’mon, when was the last time YOU picked one up? Yea, didn’t think you’d remember that either. Anyway, I’m not here to proselytize. I ain’t about that. I mean, my name is Heretic and I believe everyone’s got their own something-something they like to do. I just wanted to share the wanderlust, ya know? All I’m tryna say is that maybe we should all get out a bit more – experience somethin’ new every once in awhile and maybe even learn somethin’ about somewhere and someone else. You can only experience so much sittin’ back on your haunches and watchin’ the world pass ya by. There’s so much to discover and enjoy. Just get out there, friends. Who knows? You might find what you’re lookin’ for out there. Maybe you’ll even publish your own adventures someday! |
