The Mother of Nature, Gladekeeper, warden of Behemoth and keeper of life, nurtures all of her children. Daphne, though raised for war with wings drenched in the souls of battle, is no exception.
Daphne was born in a large clutch deep in the Shrieking Wilds of the Nature territory. Her first view of Sornieth was the expansive tree canopy that seemed to stretch to the heavens. She was the last of her nestmates to emerge, but her cry as her egg broke open to the world was strong and fierce. Her parents knew then, that their homeland would not be hers.

At the age of two, Daphne found herself restless and her wings ached with the desire to soar. Her simple role as nest guardian brought her little happiness. It was a sacred duty, chosen for those who were mighty, brave and steadfast. Daphne was all of those things, but in her heart she felt her calling was much further from home. Her training was meant for battle, not languishing in the hatchery. On the eve of her third year, Daphne stood heaving, wings spread in defiance and a mighty Snapper dead at her feet. Her first kill. The Snapper had fallen from the night sky like a star out of orbit, landing in the middle of a young group of untrained Wildclaws. Daphne had no thoughts outside of protecting them. She acted. Her claws became lethal weapons and her vision blurred with the red of battle.

ZEPAR

A year. That's how long her life here in the Plaguelands had been nothing but war games and training. Her gifts of Nature were invaluable to the clan of warriors that she found herself folded into. A clan that was nothing like her home in the Wilds. But Daphne found herself taken with them. Enamored with their prowess and confidence and quick friends with a dragon named Zepar, a Shade Touched Wildclaw.
The Shade is a curse to Nature, but Daphne saw beyond the curse to the dragons beneath.
