Nethekieth grew up in a different lair, her entire clan was centered around knowledge. When she was but an adolescent, her father's expedition team found a rather eerie tome. They celebrated their find, unaware of the book's eldritch contents. He was the first one to open it, which the young Nethekieth witnessed. Black mist rose from the pages, after which, he became obsessed with reading it, even showing it to every other member, she was the last to read it. Her clan soon flourished, food was abundant, there were gems and treasure a dragon could only dream of, far more advanced constructions littered their territory.

A while after, their elder had fallen ill, a smooth but hard, rocky, dark and crimson substance spreading across his body, for the book's forbidden information had been guarded by a curse. Soon after, many more fell ill, all of them having read the book. Panic ensued as everyone tried to find a cure.

By the time progress was made, the elder had turned into a statue, still conscious, a soul forever trapped. A month after, it was finished, the majority of the lair's inhabitants turned into gemstone. Her father handed her the cure, soon succumbing to the same fate. As she was the last to become infected, she was able to save herself. The infection stopped spreading, but her body remained partially corrupted.

She left the seemingly lifeless clan, traveling everywhere, leaning about many things and helping out anyone she came across. She learned all about healing she could, spending years of her life, before coming across a younger Kelisan, who was trying to perform a spell, she ended up becoming his mentor. Now, she teaches the younger dragons, she never gives up on anyone. She'll spend decades if that's what it takes to finish something.
