Clan Role:
Shade researcher and history buff Echojowl studies the effects of the Shade traces that have permeated Sornieth, sharing and comparing findings with the other gaolers of the clan. He will make occasional trips out to the world's seas and major waterways, even venturing into the vast ocean which surrounds Sornieth's lands, in order to probe for Shade contamination. He'll use beakers and vials to transport samples back to his lair. He's not all serious business, though. Born after the gaoler's spread across Sornieth, he has always been fascinated by the culture and history of the various dragon breeds, particularly in how they differ and how this has impacted dragon societies. He'll collect stories and interviews from dragons all over Sornieth regarding what life was like, from as many generations back as possible. His lair is filled with texts and relics from different eras in the history of dragonkind. Many Beastclan items find their way into his collection as well, as the history of dragons often interweaves with theirs, often in the form of conflicts and territory battles. For this reason, Echojowl is another patron of the Heritage Vaults guarded by Vesuvius. He will also occasionally assist her with artifact preservation. It's one of the most likely places within the clan to find him when he's not travelling for samples. When not talking someone's ear off about fascinating points of history, he's usually deep in theoretical discussions with his mate Woollybear about the Shade. It's rare to find him not trying to make conversation, unless he's asleep. Though he does sometimes sleep-talk... But only if he's had too much of Ocha's tea that evening. Usually. Sometimes it's because Woollybear will whisper things at him to see if he'll respond, because she's bored.
