As the great grand-daughter of the enchantress Salvrin, it was presumed that Alyah's choice to stay in clan Artifex would mean she would also take up magic like her mother and grandmother before her. Much to their surprise she was far more interested in the messy clan archives and girls. Though all three dragons tried to spark some interest in the art for the young imperial, she was prone to distraction in lessons and even more so when practicing what she had learned. One by one they accepted the futility of their insistence and let her be, by which time she'd developed something of an aversion to both them and magical arts.

When Livienne joined clan Artifex and took on the monumentous task of organising the archives, Alyah was one of the first dragons to put her hand up to help along with her girlfriend Madeline. Livienne appreciates both of their enthusiasm and liveliness, however they both have a tendency to get distracted or distract others with their antics.
