VW2D3at.gif It seemed like such a short time ago, he was a whelp, just a sprocket as his mother would call him affectionately. So much had changed, mostly for the better. He had traveled Soreinth, he had learned many dialects, tried many new foods, led a clan through hardships and bountiful times both, he had even had many prosperous children and grandchildren.

Not all was good, though. He had lost many of his clan’s allies and even some members that had been with him since the beginning, all because of what he considered to be small decisions. He had tried to shrug it off but the lingering feeling of guilt would not leave him. His mate tried to keep his spirits up, but there was only so much she could do as she too had begun to judge his decisions, as much as she refused to say so he still knew just by looking at her, she would not meet his eyes at times of intense feelings anymore.

He was grateful for her, though. She had diplomacy that he did not. She was able to fix his errors in ways that he could have never even thought of and keep members new and old from fleeing the land in favor of a new, more stable clan.
