A B O U T

Whether by choice or by compulsion, no one knows how Xardril ended up the way she is. She is neither affected nor indifferent about her otherworldly appearance, and has accepted it as it is in her own weird way. The few who were brave enough to ask her about it have all received different answers; a bet lost with the Shadowbinder, a ritual gone awry, her egg incubated for too long, a curse from a stilted mate, and so on.

She spends most of her time alone, and many a tresspasser has fled the Ravenwatchers' domain with nightmates of "A skeletal wraith cloaked in black". It is no secret among the clan that she enjoys scaring others, and it is also no secret that she does it purely out of entertainment rather than malice.

B I O G R A P H Y

During her early days with the Ravenwatchers, she was very nearly severely injured by Gilings, who at a glance mistook her for an eldritch being of the Shade. She had made herself scarce immediately, sensing his hostility towards her, using every single trick in her book to evade the dragon's pursuit. The battle that ensued between the two when he caught up had been a sight to behold. If it had not been for Erelxa, who noticed her absence, Xardril would have been permanently grounded for life; no longer able to fly. Even with all the healing magic, she is still unable to remain airborne for long.

Xardril has never been able to fully forgive Gilings after the incident, and her mischievous streak resulted in the other being plagued with endless piles of trash and other pranks. Erelxa has asked her several times to lift Gilings' curse of blindness, but she remains stubborn on that front, claiming it as the dragon's due punishment for the offence he committed against her.

B I O G R A P H Y

There is an unspoken clanwide agreement to never tell Xardril who it was that found the healer for her near-unusable wing. Of course, Xardril has her own connections and likewise never tells anyone she knows who it was that pulled the strings. Between Narione's hints and her own deductions- who else could have convinced Serenity to part with goodness-knows-what in exchange for their skills. She is not ungrateful of course, and her pranks on Gilings has lessened. A little.

Gilings' lair may no longer be plagued with random swarms of crawlies, but she still has the tendencies to spook him in the dark corridors, and also randomly rearranging the more insignificant of his belongings in his lair. She may no longer be antagonistic towards him, but she is also still a long way away from fully forgiving him.

I M P R E S S I O N S

Erelxa: Him? He's alright I guess. He can be annoying sometimes, especially regarding Gilings. Sometimes I wonder if he regrets being the Captain in charge of us, after all that happened. I did apologize for causing him worry, and even helped to care for his fish when he's busy. He never says it, but at least I can tell he's feeling somewhat better these days.
