» A P I S «
bee-like | soft | honey-maker ![]()
Apis is one of the strange dragons others may come across while traveling through paradise, as his anatomy is a little different from a normal tundra by having different fur patterns and wing shapes akin to a bee, as well as the behaviors of one. He is even capable of creating a unique kind of honey, which he is happy to share with friends or sell to travelers, taking joy in the delight dragons have when they taste it.
|
Although it's common to see a Tundra eating flowers, Apis does it for a slightly different purpose - to make the honey he's so well known for! Technically, he's supposed to only drink the nectar, but since his body is so big and he likes eating plants anyway, he's learned to just consume the entire flower and let his body take care of the rest. He doesn't necessarily hide how he makes the honey, though, for the sake of the customer's comfort, he's hesitant to answer their inquiries on how he makes it if they can't connect the dots themselves. Apis isn't the only dragon that is outside of the anatomical norm in the swamp, and has made friends with the sheep-like dragon Paruah due to their shared uniqueness, though oftentimes it's him keeping the spiral out of residents' flower beds and chastising him for trying to eat their property. Because Paruah doesn't have any wings, Apis likes to pick him up and take him for flights, satisfying his draconic instincts to take flight. Other times, they'll just munch on flowers as the days go by without a care in the world. |

![]() | The tundra typically has a calm and relaxed demeanor, however, he can get flustered quite easily with a simple compliment. Sometimes, he'll even get so happy he'll begin to make a buzzing sound, which embarrasses him and makes him run away and hide until he can calm himself down. Despite his soft and fluffy appearance, Apis can get very defensive for those he cares about and can puff up his fur, making him capable of smothering and suffocating his enemies if in danger. He's very friendly though, so he rarely ever makes enemies... except for a certain flower thief plaguing and hexing the swamplands. |
