☆ : Lashing out against your better judgment, always on the defensive and watching out for betrayal; orange full moons that fill your soul; outstretched claws as you sprawl onto the floor; flickering flames the colour of gold, reflected in your eyes; coloured leaves flutter around you, whipped up by wind; you feel the breeze tug at your antlers and whiskers; the smell of cinnamon and hot chocolate, but bitter coffee and rotting pumpkin underlies it; coyote howls in the middle of the night tear through your soul; creeping through the forest, each step muffled by undergrowth; the warmth of blood, the feeling of it sliding down your scales; you lay quietly listening, the chatter of the others filling your mind

Esh was one of the very first to arrive in Ballycove, taken in by Dakota and Zicara. he was raised alongside their son Night. He once looked up to his caretakers but as time passed he began to resent them. He began to see their lacklustre leadership skills and believed he could do better, this thoughts remained as is until a horrible flood happened. It completely took Ballycove by surprise; the entire island was flooded, homes were destroyed and dragons drowned in the dangerous waters. When life returned to normal the memory of Dakota's bad leadership did not fade, and many of ballycove's dragons had begun to grow their doubts. Eshkin seeing this as a chance to take control began to organise a revolt against Dakota's rule.
During planning Eshkin had met his first mate Quartz, a gentle but nervous soul they had one daughter together, Katsura. As time had passed strain was placed on the pair's relationship but Eshkin's love for Katsura was strong, he just wasn't sure how to show it.
The revolt planning was going well, he had recruited dragons both outside and apart of Ballycove to help him and during the full moon they would attack, their plan was to use Brons power and set Ballycove ablaze. Callisto would be sent in beforehand to ensure the hatchling's safety ( Katsura and Luck ) their Caretakers were not told of the plan beforehand in fears they would be too loyal to Dakota to betray. The fire wasn't meant to hurt anyone, mostly as a distraction for when Eshkin went to take the throne from Dakota and his heir Night.
Esh knew he could not beat Dakota and Night in a fight. Imperials may be large, but guardians have brute strength. Together they would overpower him.
Esh found a remnant of shade, hiding in the darkness. Esh wanted to be stronger, the shade could do that. After all, it had created Luminimax. Esh took a piece of shade and fused it with his soul. Now tainted by darkness Esh had the power to overpower his foes, Night was defeated and Dakota fled from Ballycove, but it had left a permanent scar on his face, he covered it with a mask and refused to speak about it.
Ballycove's new leader was Eshkin, and with anger and hatred in his heart he exiled all dragons who where not imperials, his reasonings were that they couldn't be trusted. Many feared Eshkin and his strength, one of which was Quartz she decided that it was too many and they two spilt up. Not too long after when Eshkin was flying around the territory he came across a curious imperial, Vegas. The two began meeting in secret until Vegas began expecting eggs and Eshkin convinced her to come to Ballycove. Vegas had Dorifuto and Yoru, Eshkin saw something terrible in Yoru. A creeping darkness, it was the shade... he was terrified of them, Vegas was frustrated. She never wanted hatchlings and didn't want a serious relationship with Esh. So when the pair sneaked out to fight a hydra which resulted in Dorifuto's death. He was convinced that Yoru had planned it on purpose.
Katsura had grown up and found a mate in Callisto, they had Christmas. The first naturally born primal of Ballycove, Eshkin loved her dearly and protected her with his life. He became involved in Katsura's life and said sorry for being distant for so long. The two became close, however, one night when Eshkin was giving flight lessons to Christmas he heard from the guards that Katsura was found murdered.
