Shadescar is always covered in shadows, many dragons pass it off as him being clever with his magic to keep out of direct light but in truth it's because he's constantly feeding off it. dragons tend to find their shadows missing when he's around and as a result, he pretty quickly got kicked out of any clan that would take him in. he willingly gave himself to the machine believing it would help him become something greater, though he soon fled after he found out what it had actually done to him.

Shadescar is one of the empty ones, when he is near shadows, they become drawn to him as he feeds off it in a never-ending battle to stay alive. shadow dragons tend to feel powerless in his presence and as a result he is not allowed anywhere hear the Shadow territory
