Biography
lore wip
- Athanasius's apprentice who has only been doing necromancy for a few years now. He's making great progress, but he was not prepared to handle a project this big on his own, much less an explosion of arcane and necromantic energy strong enough to rip a hole in space and time itself. It's really not his fault that the seam ripper activated when it did. If he'd been more skilled, he might have been able to prevent the power of the arcane engine from being siphoned into the machine, but he is just an apprentice after all, and no one could have predicted that disconnecting the machines wouldn't be enough for a safe test run. He still feels guilty about it, though. He feels he shouldn't have gotten cocky, but he listened to Sky when he said that he had every confidence in Sunny's ability to handle things if the test run went wrong. No one could have predicted just how powerful the engine would be, but Sunny still feels responsible for not saying no and not waiting for his mentor to return to the workshop.
- getting the hang of necromancy has been tough due to his Lightning origins, but he's been very proud of the progress he's made up until now.
- sees Athanasius as sort of a father figure, though he'd be embarrassed to admit that to his mentor's face. Z always seems so calm and collected and his confidence in his own abilities is something Sunny wishes he had. He's sort of imprinted on Sky in Z's absence, and he desperately wants to do well and not let the team leader down, especially since Sky's faith in him is so earnest.
- helped Katla to make Morgana her casing so she could wander through the workshop and worked with the rest of the team to make the network Merlin travels through. He was very excited when Morgana was able to enter the casing he'd created, as he'd never created his own construct before. He wants to try making one from scratch and summoning a brand new soul to inhabit it, like what his mentor does, but he's not sure how that would work in a realm where the souls of the dead never move on. It might make it easier to put a soul in a new shell...or it might make it harder since these souls don't seem to lose their memories after death and might object to this...
