The two of them have always been as thick as... well, thieves. Their union was arranged by their overbearing, appearance-obsessed parents who wished for pretty grandchildren. At first they resisted the idea, preferring friendship, but found that they actually quite liked each other later in life. They celebrated their new relationship by burning down their parents' mansions and eloping.

She has standards, just like any professional. Anzen has never regretted stealing her stepdaughter away from her abusive family, and loves her more than her biological parents ever did.

At first she was planning to sell the strange egg her husband dug up, but then it hatched into a very adorable baby and Damask pleaded with her to keep it. She resisted the idea at first, but grew attached over time. This didn't stop her from saddling the poor kid with an awful name.
