A gaoler paced back and forth through the wasteland of tectonic plates where he was situated. He exhaled in annoyance as five more minutes passed and nothing happened. He stretched his legs, preparing to have to go out into the Flintlock again, but he heard a faint scream from his right. His head snapped in that direction. oh s__t. ExMortis, you idiot. He started sprinting towards the sound instead of flying. The "psychotic dictator" from the Magma Sanctum had guards stationed everywhere here now, and they shot at whatever flew. Generally, he and the rest could get by by not flying and bringing the guards half of whatever they salvaged from the ruins around them. But apparently now, ExMortis had done something stupid. Again.

"DIAVOLO, YOU IMBICILE, GET OVER HERE ALREADY YOU-" it broke off into a sizable amount of curse words. Diavolo swore under his breath and rolled his eyes. He picked up the pace. He ran over the crest of a small hill and finally ExMortis and Starkiller came into view. Unfortunately, there was also a large guardian and a smaller blue skydancer. As Diavolo approached, he could now see that the guardian was a darker female dragon wearing jewelry that suggested a higher social status, and the skydancer was wearing a birdskull mask, obscuring any trace of his face.

ExMortis was baring his teeth at the two dragons while Starkiller, a green gaoler, glared at them all, hissing slightly. Diavolo could now see that her leg was bleeding. F___.

ExMortis caught sight of him and beckoned him, looking angry. "I told you to hurry up, you-" The guardian cut him off.

"Please, none of this vulgarity is needed." Diavolo got a better look at her now. She was truly terrifying. Of course, he'd rather hang himself than admit that. She stood even taller than him, half of her face covered by a Crystalclaw Sheathe. Something Diavolo himself had been wanting to get his claws on to test this so called "earth magic". However, the fact that she had it led to other possibilities that he did not want to consider. He then noticed the gardian was peering down at him with a semi amused expression.

"You Gaolers. We didn't even come here to pick a fight." she shrugged slightly. "We have been searching for a Gaoler named Ithel for a long long time..." Diavolo's eyes widened "And now," the Guardian smiled slightly. "We have a lead on him."

"What?" Diavolo managed to choke out. "But how? And also, who the HELL are you?"

The skydancer spoke up.

"We have sources, and as for the last part, no one of concern."

The Guardian just smiled again and it sent a shiver down Diavolo's spine. Somehow, this felt like the beginning of the end.
