Biography
Arc had a troublesome relationship with his parents. They would always abuse him whenever he didn't meet up to their standards,
even from the very beginning.
"Why couldn't you be like Altan?"
Arc had no answer. He merely gazed at a portrait of his younger brother, hung so highly up the mansion's wall. He had recently moved out of home, joined a lair with a well-paying job, and found his true love.
He slowly shifted his gaze onto the marbled floor, seemingly lost focus, contemplating.
He was second choice. All of his parents' attention went to his younger brother. Altan had everything that he wanted- videogames, the best food in the Leviathan's Trench, an overwhelming amount of friends, good at studies....
And now, even with his mother by his side glaring daggers at him, impatiently waiting for an answer, he kept his eyes fixed onto the floor.
"I'm just not good enough."
With timid steps, Arc returned to his room. He stuffed his head into his pillow, jaws opened as if screaming, but no sound came out.
Wouldn't want an already disappointed mother to find you in such a pitiful state now?
He sighed and blankly stared at the ceiling, lost in thought. Time felt so sluggishly slow as there was only his heartbeat and the clock's ticking.
Then he drew a deep breath and said,
"I don't want to be here anymore."
