Hailing from the Seeker order, Rune has dedicated his life to capturing Shade creatures. Although he comes off as reclusive, he is actually pretty lonely and is unsure of how to make friends. He wants to join in more but is afraid of disappointing his ancestors. He secretly loves Wolpertingers and has an extensive merch collection.

After becoming a Seeker, Rune and his partner, Narri, spent quite some time capturing Shade creatures in the Southern Icefield. They were both eventually reassigned to Outpost Toast to protect it against the rising threat of the Shade. Until now, Rune has had little interaction with modern breeds. He is wary of dragons that aren't his own kind and distrusts the resident Banescale. The war may have been centuries ago, but years of being told the horrors committed by the enemy of his ancestors are hard to overcome.
Rune's prowess in battle is renowned. With deadly speed, precision, and brute strength, he can bring down almost any target. Which are often larger than him. His control and sheer power of his ice breath can be devastating: creating massive columns of ice or rain deadly spikes icicles from above. His foes are down before they know what hit them. Sometimes Rune misses his home in the Southern Icefield. He prefers the cold and loves the feeling of snow beneath his claws. He likes to reminisce with Rift and Zora, sharing their treasured memories about their homeland. Rune was somewhat reluctant to teach Donny at first but is slowly warming up to him. He is often removing the twigs and leaves that get stuck in Donny's mane, grumbling the entire time about proper mane care. |
