Note to self (and others! hi there!): pls try to decide which piece of text to keep and which to yeet, also maybe finish the first one?????
A high-ranking Shadow ambassador who was, truth be told, sent to the Ashfall Waste and not to the Wind region. He holds no passion for his job, as he was forced into as a youngling. He feels right at home with the Strays, who accept him wanting to hide away from his clan and making a life for himself instead.
Hatched to a devoted worshipper of the Winds, Chariot was swiftly abandoned after his emergence. He was born blind, his vision forever shrouded in darkness by the very essence of the void, but it also was the cause of his blindness that granted him a high position in the hierarchy of a Shadow clan.
He was adopted by a pair of powerful Shadow dragons, of a powerful Shadow lineage, of a powerful Shadow clan, and was subsequently named the heir of their lineage. Raised by pious Shadowbinder worshippers, he was surrounded by texts speaking of the void, of the climbing shadows, of the spreading darkness, of the Shadow.
While Chariot’s adoptive parents cared for him, they seemed distant more often than not, obsessed with their image and their power, and willing to go to great lengths to elevate their status. So, knowing their son to be closer to the void than anyone else in the clan, they tasked him to travel outside the Tangled Wood as an ambassador, and to spread knowledge and to weave relations with outside clans.
His task? To journey to the Ashfall Wastes, and to settle down in a Fire clan where he could [THIS ENDS HERE BECAUSE I'M NOT A WRITER AND I GAVE UP LOL]
Born blind, Chariot’s vision is forever shrouded in darkness by the very essence of the void.
He was hatched to a devoted worshipper of the Winds, and abandoned swiftly because of his strong bond to the Shadow element.
Chariot was taken in by the leaders of a respected Shadow clan, where he was tutored from a young age to become an ambassador of the void, destined to travel to the Ashfall Wastes in order to weave relations with the Fire dragons.
For a long time, Chariot had felt as though he was being used as a pawn by his home clan, and when his journey to the southern Fire region begun, he quickly diverted his path in an attempt to escape and to make a life of his own.
He found himself wandering the borders of the Windswept Plateau, where he was discovered rather quickly by a Stray patrol, the leader of which offered him a place to rest, should he need it. Chariot agreed, and found himself in the home lair of the Strays, a collection of wanderers and free spirits, the lot of which were quick to welcome him to the clan. After residing in the lair for a rather long time, he took up on the offer of the clan’s leader, Verna, to officially join the Strays.
Over the course of his residence, Chariot has picked up a litany of odd jobs to perform. Most often, though, he does what he was originally set out to do: He acts as a Shadow ambassador, and teaches the clan of misfits about the void that he is bound to.
