Amaterasu is a Kami clan Elder. He may seem young, but his age is actually known by none but himself. He's been around the clan sense it seems the beginning, some even wonder if he's immortal.
It's said that he has the bloodline of the gods by some, and by others they believe he may just hate telling his age. There's many questions that remained unanswered about him. But he does keep the clan in line, and apparently does have dreams about the gods.

Amaterasu is wise, and kind. But that doesn't mean he can't be scary at times. Many dragons of the Kami clan fear him, and try and stay out of his way at all costs. He knows he can appear at any time and give them a good scolding; He just prefers to keep their fear alive so he can prevent them from trouble.

He's normally the first face many dragons see when they enter the Lair, and the last face they see when they leave. In the rare occurrence that a dragon decides to stay, he always welcomes them with open arms.
