Glitter had always been respected; it was a standard she required, as well as beauty and power. Growing up in the Beacon of Radiant Will, a system of veneration and devotion directed towards the Almighty Lightweaver and his Four Daemons, she was used to such things. Her father, Kaen, was the Divine Ambassador of the society, gifted with Pure Sight, the ability to converse with the Lightweaver. Nymeria, her mother, had perished while Glitter was young due to an encounter with an Arcane Magistrate. Kaen taught Glitter and her siblings, Sol and Lynia, the way of the Beacon of the Radiant Will, to hold the pursuit of truth as the highest virtue possible, yet Kaen believed the truth to be the Lightweaver’s impending rule over Sornieth. Several years later, Lynia and Glitter, were initiated into the cult, where a fierce light blinded them, pain lasting for days. By the time it faded, their eyes were a bright yellow, bearing the seal of the Lightweaver, and signifying her presence within them. Kaen had ordered Sol’s disappearance due to his almost scholarly, philosophical viewpoint and questioning the credibility and integrity of the society.

Over the course of the next few years, Kaen’s sadism increased against those he believed were against the Beacon of Radiant Will, such as Sol and (what Glitter found out) Nymeria. Under far too much pressure placed by Kaen, Glitter cracked and was almost reduced to the delirious state that Kaen embodied. So, she fled southwestwards. Over the Ashfall Waste, where she gained several searing burns on her scales after an encounter with the Pyromancer, the sole apprentice under the Flamecaller. Her wings gave out over a large glacier named The Haven. The Haven immediately treated her wounds and helped her through the mental trauma she had experienced under the Beacon. She immediately proclaimed herself the “Harbinger of Sanctuary”, a title that was quickly followed by “Empress of the Haven”, which led to several disputes, which she quenched during the Strife Era of Sanctity. The Haven flourished and thrived under her, slowly expanding and taking over other glaciers and iceberg-islands. But the arrival of a Skydancer jeopardized it.

Skyward claimed to have fled from his home in the Sea of a Thousand Currents, where the Wars of Torshavn-Streymoy had been taking place between the Lightning Flight and the Water Flight over pieces of territory within the Shifting Expanse for a large time frame. Glitter saw through this immediately, yet there was something about Skyward that stopped her from sending him away. It was explained when she found her tail curled around three eggs one morning. Yet when the Fourth Archon, Seltzer, exposed Skyward as a Hydro spy and cursed Glitter with infertility to spite him, the Battle of the Haven occurred and Seltzer fled from unified Ice clans. Glitter assisted in setting up a Council of the Archipelago for Sparkle, Illumio, Poseidon, Tempest, Skyward, Ice, Midnight, and herself to maintain order for their newly formed Coalition of the Archipelago. Glitter and Skyward’s eggs, the only eggs they would have together, hatched a few days later: two female Imperials, Indigo and Pacific, and a male Skydancer, Sandscale. The legacy of Skyward and Glitter would augment through several generations and the Coalition.
