Biography

  • Came to the Red Sea Cove to live by the water- she finds it calming and easier to practice her magic and work by than other areas.
  • She is more witch and alchemist than doctor, but she is able to treat minor illnesses and injuries thanks to limited medical experience. Her magic is stronger and proves more useful to her than playing doctor.
  • R1 of an experiment to create a shrinking? baby? potion she designed with Anthocyanin. She briefly shrunk in size and generated several new pairs of eyes spanning the length of her body. The eyes proved the only permanent aspect and she considers R1 the only true failure of the 3 rounds of the experiment. Her theory is that the eyes manifested partially thanks to her magical prowess and purposely sought a Fae subject for R2 to test it alongside a non-Fae subject.
  • Her extra eyes can see very vague shapes and identify bright colors unless she focues. She is working to be able to see out of multiple pairs at once and, thus far, is able to see from three pairs at once.
  • Carnelian's accidental creator and caretaker. She understands Carnelian's chirps and hums the best, and in turn, Carnelian is able to read Maris's Fae language.
  • Maris is no nonsense and dedicated to her work. Her close circle includes only Anthocyanin,
    Imogen, Cassie, and the living objects Seth and Carnelian. She leaves her lab only if necessary.
