Mockery. All of it. His life full of it. Nothing but it. Mockery.

Serca knew better. He knew what they meant.
He decided to go away. Run away from home. Devour all his memories with them. All forgotten.
He decided what was best, destroy his life.
He went to the nearest volcano he could find. He was going to jump.

On the way there. He saw a cave. It looked bare and empty, but wait! There was a small, glimmering light inside. Serca got very inquisitive and went inside. He walked for seemed like miles. Though, he was stick in a time capsule, every step he took, was retaken.
"Go back..."
Who spoke? Was his mind speaking to him?
He turned around.
A pearl. Lying in the dirt.
He picked it up. Then, he fainted.

He awoke the next morning.
He felt light-headed, dizzy.
"Do not put me down!" He looked at the pearl, still in his hands. It was glowing so bright he turned away.
It's the pearl!
The pearl was speaking to him this whole time!

"Why not?"
"You need not to know. But what I can tell you, you've taken my life." "Have I killed you? Does it hurt?" Serca said, looking at his hands. "No, but you won't stop asking until I tell you. If you put me down, I will die, you will die."
"All right now what I want is to die!"
No. It is not the right thing to do. For even though mockery has been laid upon your life, there is no reason to take your own life."
"How did you know I was mocked?"
"I saw you in my vision. I do not know everything, but am quite powerful."
Serca started to get up. He thought of the volcano, waiting there for him. Calling him.

He walked out of the cave with the pearl in hand.
Once he got to the edge of the volcano, the pearl asked him, "What are you doing?"
"Jumping, dying, whatever you call it."

With that said, he jumped.

Serca now stalks children, using a disguise to lure them over to the edge of the volcano. But before he pushes them, he whispers in their ear, "Mockery".

Everybody that has escaped (very few) him wonder, "What was in his notebook he always carried?"
Well, I can tell you one thing about it, inside, there were children's names. What about them? All the children's names that took a swim in the volcano.
