Biography

To Be Made Into A Real Bio Some Day (Maybe) wrote:
Unnamed was banished for nearly doing the unthinkable: releasing Shade pieces from their icy prisons. It was an honest mistake, the efforts of one to young trying to help with things he didn't understand—but it was too close, the thought too agonizing. Some were furious (a few understanding, forgiving), but for both their sake and his, he was told to leave the Fortress and never come back.

He made it to the Isles before he found something of interest to him: a Spiral hatchling, mischievously slinking through the marketplace, eyes dripping a substance that seemed to absorb the light around it. He knew there were still Shade pieces free, wreaking havoc across Sornieth.

His eyes, dim with shame and sorrow since his banishment, brightened at the prospect of renewed purpose, the chance to prove himself (even if it was only to himself).

He couldn't fix the past, but he could reach for the future.

(The hatchling, in the end, turned out not to be Shade-touched—but his guardian was a Shade hunter. Unnamed figured he could stick around for a while).
  • Unofficially adopted by Vivían, along side Ahkilum.
  • Is shy where Ahkilum is outgoing, is brave where Ahkulim is scared; the two serve as each other's counterbalance, and would of been best friends even if they weren't the only hatchlings in the clan.
  • Was banished before he came of age, so never received his name and refuses to choose one for himself. He'll respond, more often then not, to descriptive nicknames ("Blue," "Goat-eyes," straight up just "Gaoler,") or ones that acknowledge his lack of a name ("Unnamed," "Nameless," "No-name,"), however.
  • Wanted desperately to be a Sentinal, but has now settled on being an unofficial Seeker. Not like he has much choice.
  • Can be entitled or haughty without meaning to. Having been recognized early as a magic prodigy due to his goat-like eyes, he was treated by his teachers as if he was better—worth more— because of it. They always valued things by how useful they were to the Cause (he can't help but do the same).
  • Is pretty mature for his age, but can still get into quite the pickle due to bad influences (*cough* Ahkilum *cough*) and his boundless curiosity with the "outside" world.
  • Desperately wants to prove himself, so is very easy to manipulate with the right words or a dare.
  • Ahkilum isn't allowed to dare him, or even imply anything in a way that sounds like a dare.
  • Has Vivían clip the fur around his face so it doesn't get in his eyes. Would probably get it all chopped off it his family want so adverse to the idea. Apparently he has super-duper ("plus, like five") soft fur; it's worth all the extra baths, time spent detangling mats, and extra hassle if it means his family wants to cuddle him just that little bit more.
  • The family he found is very different than the one he was born into—still, he can't help but miss his old family just like he can't help feeling guilty for missing them.
  • Probably going to lose his family in a few years because his mom is potentially Shade-touched, she has (had) a friend she'd still searching for who may have been eaten by a sea monster, and she accidentally almost killed (did kill, it's just taking a few years for his organs to shut down) his brother and may go to jail 'cause she didn't obay house arrest since their house floated away (also adopted the kid she nearly killed and isn't supposed to be anywhere near because he won't leave and he's accident and incident prone).

Pristine snow shone, reflecting the glow from the sun. The sky was clear, the air crisp, and a few birds sung off in the distance.

Suddenly, snow flew in the air and tumbled over itself as a head popped out from beneath. Two little nostrils snorted themselves clear as wide eyes took in the pristine landscape.

A grin graced his furry face as he proceeded to wiggle himself out of the snow. The storm had been harsher thsn expected, but far from worrisome. He'd weathered it fine, and it was always worth the view that came after.

Everything was just so calm, so clean and untouched. It was like Icewarden had taken an eraser and simply erased all traces that his creations had left behind. No footprints, no dropped items, no broken or disturbed underbrush. It was all gone: hidden under the snow.

The new was was exhilarating, amazing, but sometimes it was nice to forget for a moment.

Because it was scary too. None of the grown ups had known what it was like, had told stories of a world they'd only fantasized about, far different than reality.

The Shade - a shiver went down his spine at even thinking it's name - was active, was a part of every inch of Sornieth when it should of been apart from it completely.

They'd prided themselves so much on their mission when in actuality, they'd failed. They hasn't kept it locked up where it shoild be, they couldn't do the one job Icewarden had honored them with.

But he was going to try, still. With the new dragons that'd entered had come new opportunities, a different generation, the chance to go out there and make things right.

He looked at the world around him; unblemished, perfect.

He'd become a Seeker, and wipe all traces of the Shade out like the storm did to the land.

Wip. Drabble-y, plotless character exploration thing that needs editing still.
