The clan’s messenger, Water Bottle is in charge of delivering messages, not refreshments. Dragons who claim otherwise will have a bottle thrown at them. Possibly multiple bottles. Being a courier is a duty that Water Bottle takes pride in, and to have her role mistaken for something as unrefined as a water carrier is sacrilege. Calling her by such a foolhardy term will result in your letters being tossed into the sea. Probably after being set on fire and reduced to ashes. Why? Because spite, that’s why.

As the clan’s courier, Water Bottle spends most of her day rushing about to deliver messages to other dragons. As a lightning dragon, she takes special care to ensure all packages and letters are delivered with the utmost precision and efficiency. Of course, things don’t always go her way, and she is often interrupted by urgent messages that takes priority over everything else, which messes up her very precise schedule and puts Water Bottle in quite a bad mood. She can’t yell at the urgent messages, of course. (Paper isn’t all that responsive.) But Water Bottle does get tired of her meticulous routine being disrupted, especially when she’d spent a good chunk of the previous day outlining her schedule. For that reason, she began putting those urgent deliveries in glass bottles in hopes that other dragons will be annoyed enough to stop requesting urgent deliveries.

When that didn’t work, Water Bottle resigned herself to hiring a few of the other dragons to help her with her deliveries. This turned out to be the best choice she could’ve made, because the extra hands and wings gave her more time to deal with all the messages the clan sends to its members and to those outside the lair. Her helpers pick up messages, letters, and packages and bring it back to her office (dubbed the Big Bottle), where she can use her ingenious organization and management skills to sort through the various piles and figure out the most efficient way to get all of them delivered as soon as possible. In fact, deliveries have gotten so speedy, dragons have taken to calling the delivery system Bottle Prime. No records of Water Bottle’s response to this has been kept. But maybe she’s just busy.

Her work takes up almost all of her time and takes her nearly everywhere imaginable. For that reason, Water Bottle knows a little bit about everyone in the lair, and she’s always kept up to date on the hottest gossip. Of course, she’s too busy to be spreading rumors, but it’s always nice to know what’s going on. At the very least, Water Bottle figures she could survive off of blackmail if she ever has to retire from her job.

While Bottle Prime’s efficiency has made it so even the most urgent messages can be delivered without messing up Water Bottle’s usual precise schedule, she still sends them in bottles. Sizes range from “eighteen gallon tank” to “how did she fit a whole package in there?”, depending on how annoyed she is.
