Alai, more commonly known as the Eye Thief, is part of Adam's inner circle and helps Hermes with disposing of any enemies Adam might have. Instead of being hired, she followed Adam around much like a stray cat until he caved and let her join his ranks as an assassin and "components" runner. Where here colleague Hermes is often clean and quick and focused on the kill, Alai has much more stake in bringing back things like body parts, with her biggest concern being that her ingredients stay intact. Her favourite thing to retrieve is eyes, holding the belief eyes that eyes are the most magically potent parts of a dragon's body. In her hands, she steals memories and parts of a soul with them. In the rare moments she speaks, this is often the subject, something that has successfully unsettled everyone she's met so far. No one is brave enough to bother her and would much rather let her relax on her perch on Hermes' bejewelled head, watching the sunset. Her small stature and eye-patterned wings seem deceptively frail in these moments.
