Biography
The cold had always embraced him.
When Siva opened his eyes as a hatchling, there was only horror in his mother's face as glittering blue snowflakes drifted down from his primal eyes. He was the blessed one of the clan, the one granted an incredible gift from the Icewarden, and the one the clan was going to sacrifice. It was in due time, as well, since the leader was becoming impatient waiting for a hatchling with special eyes.
His father's look was grim as she whispered to him frantically, cradling Siva close to her so he couldn't look around much. His vision was foggy as he took in the new sights of the world, everything washed out with a pale white-blue color. He blinked slowly, flakes of snow sweeping past his cheeks to swirl to the ground, his body covered in a tingling cold.
"Siva, listen to me," His mother whispered in a quiet tone. He looked up at her, watching her face twist as she looked into his eyes. "You are a special boy, but you cannot stay here." Her voice was new, but also familiar to him as he tilted his head. "We're running away, and I'm going to hide you from this clan and we shall never return." She said firmly to him. His father was already gathering their things as she glanced towards the clan just a couple yards from the nesting grounds.
His parents stole away into the snowy night, fleeing their clan with Siva in their arms. The bitter chill of the night air did not affect him as it whisked past their forms as they flew. On the horizon, a towering figure of a massive tree rose high into the sky, and Siva gazed at it, curled in his mother's arms.
He wondered if maybe, he'd find someone to keep him warm somewhere out there in the world. Someone who could chase away the cold that lingered in his bones.
