Heldreichii Heldreichii hatched surrounded by movement and noise. The young hatchling’s initial confusion was quickly replaced by a desire for quiet and calm. As he grew older, Heldreichii became used to the frequent arguments among his clanmates. He rarely joined in on the shouting matches, but on occasion, he found it entertaining to watch. Heldreichii slowly began to stay and watch more and more fights, and almost as if by design, the aforementioned fights became more and more heated and aggressive. Soon the young dragon was taking sides every which way, and making himself many enemies within the violent society. He was enjoying himself, in a strange way. Perhaps this wasn’t the perfect, quiet world he had longed for in his younger years, but he had learned to live in the moment, and take risks. Then he went too far. Heldreichii and a younger friend of his met a pair of dragons with an old grudge. They exchanged insults, then blows. Heldreichii followed his friend back towards the empty town center, with their enemies close behind. In his panic, Heldreichii began hurling whatever he could behind him as he ran, in hopes of slowing down his attackers. He watched as his friend vanished into a shadowed area of the center, and vanished. As his pursuers caught up to him, Heldreichii threw a burning lantern to the ground in front of them. They hesitated enough for Heldreichii to scramble away, but the blaze began to spread. By the time anyone realized what was happening, the flames were everywhere. Dragons roused as many others as they could, and when it was apparent the flames could not be stopped, they fled. Heldreichii watched as dragons he knew, some he loved, some he hated, took to the skies or burned. The survivors of the fire exiled Heldreichii, banning him from ever returning. He was forced to leave everyone he had ever loved if he hadn’t already killed them. Now he journeys across all territories, learning what he can, and hiding his past. He refuses to light so much as a campfire and has learned to tolerate the cold and dark. In some cruel way, the quiet world he dreamed of is now a reality. Heldreichii is typically very quiet but is easily riled. He prefers to observe rather than participate in a conversation. He loves cats. He appreciates their calm, quiet demeanors, much like his own. He is terrified to pursue any relationships, out of fear of losing someone again. He still harbors a quiet love of chaos, and even though he tries to hold back, sometimes he can’t help stirring things up. By xXScathachXx What lingers in the trees? What dreams of bloody days? Follow not the scents of incense, look not at the scarlet feathers on the forest floor. Garnets and jasper glitter between the trees. This far in, we compress, we shrink. Stray not from the path!
