Centaurs were the first Beastclan to make contact with the Lundlaevungar after the Spire crashed into the Starwood Strand cliffs. The herds to the south offered aid and trade opportunities, and ever since have been allies. Rune is particularly close friends with several centaurs from different herds. |
|
The Longneck settlements to the north are important trading partners and Rune has developed an amicable accord with their leaders. He enjoys his visits to their labyrinthine clifftop homes. The Lundlaevungar often seek out the Longnecks' expertise as guides and map-makers when travelling to unfamiliar territory. |
|
Though the Talonok cantons to the south were initially wary, they have become solid allies thanks to Rune's careful attentions. His efforts have earned him respect from Raptorik and Corven alike. One leader recently presented him with an intricately woven Foo Mantle: an enormous honour for a dragon. |
|
Fauns are a rarer sight in the Starfall Isles, but some make the depths of the Starwood Strand their home. Though Rune finds these playful tricksters sometimes difficult to reason with, he knows that they mean no real harm. He's often amused by their characteristic mischief and merrymaking. |

Kitsune are native to the Windswept Plateau, but small numbers have crossed Starwind Bay to make their home in the Starfall Isles. The majority of Kitsune living near and within the Lundlaevungar territory have made themselves known to Rune and make no secret of the fact that they welcome draconic protection. |

Manticores are for the most part solitary, and indifferent to dragonkind. However, Rune has made a point to visit the dens of those who live adjacent to the Lundlaevungar to introduce himself. These slow-growing friendships with individual manticores foster mutual respect and consideration. |
|
The Serthis sects that spill over from the Wandering Contagion to congregate in the southern Starwood Strand are not openly hostile. Rune personally disagrees with their violent customs, as do others in the clan, but nonetheless he attempts to make contact after each split or merge. He has yet to receive any answers. |
|
Maren schools reside in the waters to the north of the Lundlaevungar territory. In exchange for hunting and gathering freely in the clan's waters, they remain non-violent. However, they are still wary and frequently become aggressive when approached. The Maren refuse to engage with Rune's attempts at diplomacy. |

The nearest Harpy flocks are located far to the south on Starwind Bay, quite a distance from the Lundlaevungar. Rune would gladly attempt to broker an alliance with them, should opportunity arise. However, Frigga's Wind contacts warn that their matriarchs are cautious of clans beyond the Windswept Plateau. |
|
To Rune's knowledge, there are no Sphinx prides residing in the Lundlaevungar's region, or indeed within the Starfall Isles. However, talking to friendly Sphinx familiars in the clan and accompanying diplomatic missions to the Shifting Expanse have given him the tools to engage with these merciless riddlers when necessary. |
Rune works closely with Yngvi, who is the Lundlaevungar envoy to the Dryads and Mith. The two are equally skilled at their respective jobs, and respect each other's abilities, though in actual fact the pair would not necessarily choose to be friends.
