Gary is a wandering adventurer. He is perpetually on some quest or another, searching for fun and always ready to have a good time. He hasn't always had the easiest life, but things have gotten better now that he's found a home and a family.

Gary grew up in a loving clan, constantly getting into trouble with his fellow hatchlings. As they grew older, however, they drifted apart as the other hatchlings began taking on active roles serving the clan. Gary could never seem to move past his childhood shenanigans, coming to view his time as a hatchling as his glory days. Fearing that the best days of his life were already behind him and no longer feeling like he belonged in his birth clan, Gary set out on his own to try and find a purpose.

After years of wandering, Gary was confronted by a fae named Jack, who he felt an instant connection with. Jack offered him a place in his own clan, the Cosmic Cavern, and Gary accepted, unwilling to part ways with this alluring dragon. Over time, the two became close, eventually choosing to claim each other as mates.

Gary has since proclaimed himself theoretical king of the clan. Although this mostly serves to annoy Jack and bemuse the other members of the Cosmic Cavern, it brings Gary comfort knowing that he is accepted and loved for who he is. He now helps other dragons who feel that they don't belong to find new homes where they will be loved, whether that be with another clan or alongside the Arcanist.
