50561624p.png Subject Name: Khaadgrim
Affiliation: Bleak Meadow Prison

Rank: Sentinel-Warden
TsZ1Eer.png

Condition: Alive
Personality: Focused, Compromising

Origin: Ice, Currently in Plague
Past Ranks: None

Khaadgrim had earned the rank of Sentinel-Warden soon after she was old enough to take on a rank. From a young age the gaoler held much responsibility on her shoulders and worked hard to prove she deserved such a noble order. What better way to serve her deity than to be part of his elite guard after all! She had no qualms about guarding the Icewarden and the Ice Pillar Fragment with her life, just like those who worked alongside her. Nothing, not even the worst horrorbeast or Shade-infected creature would ever get by her.

But the world changed. When news came that the world many had known was gone, replaced with new life and ways of living, Khaadgrim knew things would be different. The older gaolers mostly wished to stick to their old ways while younger generations saw more and more leaving their orders or not even taking one in favor of experiencing the new world and seeing what it had to offer. She honestly couldn't believe how they could dismiss their way of life so quickly. She was still on the younger side herself and while she did want to learn about the modern world, she had no wish to change her way of life.

And then she was sent off to lead one of the patrols into this modern world. Khaadgrim didn't understand why she, a Sentinel, was being sent on such a task but orders were orders and who was she to question her deity. The gaoler took her patrol and headed for Light, where a strong source of Shade was said to be awakening. Some in the patrol had grumbled about it just being a bunch of creatures with shade-scent in them like most of the modern world had... but Khaadgrim had caught the scent and knew better. This thing they were sent to capture while out learning about Sornieth was a Shade-touched creature.

The clan was long gone by the time they'd found the creature's lair, though they found a patrol of modern breed dragons checking the area out as well. Khaadgrim wasn't much of a fan seeing them in their way but knew it was best to be civil—they'd taken in two lost gaoler hatchlings so they couldn't be too bad... Although, they had thought the two were just mutant tundras at first. It honestly wasn't her first time hearing that. Hearing them out, she decided to merge their patrols together and journey back with them to Plague after their business was finished.

It didn't take long. Her patrol was skilled and the Shade-touched gaoler that had been living in the ruins was captured. Khaadgrim took the opportunity of the journey back to continue learning about these new kinds of dragons and their ways of life. It was certainly a lot different than what she'd grown up with. But, as time wore on she was seeing it wasn't all bad. In fact while she did like the structure of the old ways, the new ones weren't a complete mess as she'd thought. Upon getting back to their home, Khaadgrim met with Sugar Meadow and the two began working together.

While the modern breeds kept their Emperor asleep, she and her gaoler patrol worked on building the perfect prison for it, their Shade-touched prisoner, and any other prisoners they may receive. Working outside of Ice was different but containing horrors was in their blood and within no time the perfect prison was developed and stood strong against the Plague landscape. Khaadgrim has been co-running the Bleak Meadow Prison with Sugar Meadow ever since and has given the pearlcatcher the title of a Honorary Sentinel-Warden. The older gaolers back in Ice would have called in blasphemy for a non-gaoler to have such a title but she's decided an amalgamation of their cultures can benefit both their ways of life just fine.
