No one's quite sure where he came from, or how he came to be. He himself doesn't remember.
It is unclear if he was created artificially by someone to be some sort of homunculus experimental assistant or if his birth was some sort of natural fluke. Being as such he doesn't quite 'get' other dragons but is a fairly quick learner in other things. He has a preference for logic and enjoys puzzles. Byxis found him during her travels when he was fairly young, that is mentally speaking- he was a fully formed adult but had no understanding of the world. She took him in and taught him many things. Over time the clan grew, and this put a lot of stress on Byxis- with the loss of 3/4s of her first clutch putting her over the edge. She appointed Gemmers to be a sort-of acting clan leader, a clan manager of sorts, in her stead to ease some of her pain. She still has final say, but for running day to day things he was perfect for it. He still has a lot to learn socially, but he'll do his best to keep everyone happy and everything running smoothly.
