"Atlas" by Coldplay

______ Starscope pressed to eyes, and stars lightyears away, hidden from discovery for mega-anna, appear as if three steps away. Map unfurled, and the exposed stars are charted. A pinpoint location in the cosmos. Nebulae stretch outwards for years. Along with black holes, little planets, and gas giants. None can escape the Starscope, none will be left uncharted. None will be left unknown. One map, made to navigate the cosmos, made to locate lonely stars, not to limit the un-limitable, but to emphasize the infinite vastness of the cosmos.

______ Curl around a new star, and it will learn to think. Abandoned in the deep cold embrace of the cosmos, a star is suspended in place by fear, by loneliness, by the question why? Once pierced by the Starscope, it will know peace. Placed on a map, given a purpose, the star receives shelter, naked no longer. Under the map’s protection, a celestial body will never know strife, never know attacks, never know another entity aside from the Starscope. The stars exist alone, but never lonely.
