Biography
Fiorina was born in a large clan, and she had always felt slightly uneasy in it. Her clanmates were kind to her and she loved them dearly, but she could not shake off the feeling that she simply did not belong in it. She left on The Search at a relatively young age. Some worried for her, but when The Search calls a Guardian, its pull cannot be denied.
Fiorina's search lasted a long time and she ended up wandering here and there with no real direction going wherever her instincts directed her. Looking back on it, she believes that it was her latent oracle abilities as a Water aligned dragon that was guiding her.
One day, she was injured in a battle against the wild beasts of the Sea of a Thousand Currents. She spent the rest of the day hobbling and slinking around the best a very large and very green dragon could. Eventually, she came upon a grey male Guardian around her age hollowing out a lair. Although it was rough and clearly needed more work, he offered her shelter until she recovered. Fiorina, not a fool by any means, accepted.
The male, named Alexandros, had just finished his Search mere days ago, tended to her and kept her company. Alexandros told her tales of his Search and that how he realized his charge had yet to come into being. He didn't know how long it would take for it to come into existence - you can't have a clan with just one dragon, after all, and he had chosen a rather quiet and secluded place to claim as his territory. She listened intently and repaid him with her own stories. They played games and gathered food together. Hours turned into days. Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. Suddenly, half a year had seemingly gone by in an instant.
"Where did the time go?" he asked her one day. Fiorina thought he looked awfully hesitant and sad to say it. Alexandros turned his downwards, suddenly finding his claws extremely fascinating. He flexed them a few times, as if he were trying to grab the warm, soft sand beneath them. "Shouldn't you be continuing your Search?"
Yes, she thought, I should. But she realized that the near constant urge to travel had long since dissipated into the air. She didn't even notice it was gone. She felt very content in the small, but cozy lair. She looked at the scenery in front of her, into the lair, and then at the dragon beside her.
"I don't need to continue to look for what I've already found."
She found her charge. And just importantly, she had fallen in love. She would protect this dragon and the clan he would create.
