Lineage

Biography

Liir, once a sweet and curious young dragon, had to grow into a strong and skilled dragon immediately.

He was raised by a magical dragoness whom, until this day, remains a mystery if whether she is his mother or not. The dragoness was one that had little to no friends due to her odd physical feature and it was a question on why she even had Liir around. She barely had talked since she was quite traditional and only did once her vows were lifted. Once asked about Liir, she claimed she didn't even know why Liir stuck around her. Liir was more of a companion than a child of this dragoness, and he had never felt any affection nor abuse from her. He, though, felt some sort of attachment to her that he cannot explain. Such attachment enabled him to have concern for this dragoness until her dying day. This is what other dragons perceive as "blood ties", but no one can really say if they were related or not.

Being abandoned young, he had to learn how to fend for himself. He gone through a lot of beatings, but living with the dragoness has taught him quite a number of tricks to survive in this world. Eventually, after the dragoness passed and he was found almost dying at a road, he ended up joining the clan that tended his wounds and saved his life. This is where he met Candle.

Candle was no one to him. Though it seemed that she was quite fond of him and eventually, they had a clutch together. It wasn't anything fancy, he didn't express the same attraction to her as she did with him. Anyway, there are many dragons that aren't in a monogamous pair, so it was quite regular.

The two of them left their clan as there were tension arising among its members. Liir and Candle did not go the same path and at some point, Liir had decided to join the fight for dominance. It wasn't until he saw the difficulties of serving the Icewarden did he decide to abandon ship and return before it was too late. Later on, he had found Trism, one of the dragons he had met during his attempt on serving the Icewarden, scarred and troubled by the ongoing aggression among the flights. He decided to take Trism from the Icewarden and sought to join a new clan.

Though they had such a different upbringing, they had gotten really close with each other. Having shared some history, they've come to realize that they both are not so different from one another and have created a bond no dragon can break. They knew that they were truly meant to be in each other's lives in this lifetime and hoped that neither of them would pass before the other or it would be unbearable to continue on.

It was funny that Candle, who had started a new clan with Tenmeadows, found Liir in one of the hunting raids. Candle, being a reformed dragoness, knew Liir from the moment she saw his unforgettable coloration. Liir saw her as a threat and decided to run away further into this new clan's territory. Tenmeadows eventually caught him and upon chasing Liir out, Candle stopped Liir from leaving and told Tenmeadows that Liir was a friend and father to Chandelier. Candle also mentioned that Liir had been an experienced dragon and Tenmeadows decided that if Liir wanted to survive, he should join the clan. Liir only had one condition and that was Trism had to join as well. Tenmeadows suddenly burst in laughter and said that they needed all the dragons they can get.

It was later known that Chandelier was named after Candle and Liir, both deriving from their name. Chandelier still does not like Liir and barely do they communicate. Liir can only assume why his daughter doesn't seem to be too fond of him.
