When Peryite first joined Excidium, he was a sad creature. Sallow of scales, scrawny and sickly, it seemed at first that he would not survive. Even hard-hearted Nerevar worried that he would not survive and brought food to him. It soon became clear that Peryite had nothing to guard, and combined with the stress of changing clans, it was taking its toll.

That is, until he glimpsed the tiny fae fluttering about the edges of the clan.

Drawn to the creature, who even in his sad state he dwarfed in size, Peryite felt a click. He had found what he was meant to guard. The fact that it was another dragon... complicated things at first. He was possessive over her, especially around other males. He followed her constantly. When it came time to choose a mate, there was truly no other choice for Meridia; Peryite simply would not have it.

And still he grew.

The clan members found it oddly amusing that the smallest member of the clan was paired with the largest.
