"My name is Kirie Goshima."

My boyfriend, Shuichi, and I once lived in Kurozu-Cho, a small town in the country of Japan, on a planet called Earth.

The folks here have no knowledge of our home, and I suppose that is for the better. When Shuichi and I were teens, our town fell under a curse, the curse of the spiral, the secret shape of the world. We both watched with horror as it slowly twisted our friends, families, neighbors, and eventually our whole town, into an everlasting spiral.

We narrowly escaped. Just before our death, the Spiral had mercy upon us, opening a vortex that led us to this world of dragons, and we were born into new bodies. We are thankful to have found each other once more, as well as having found this clan that has allowed us to take refuge within it, though still we grieve for our loved ones. We hope to carve out a new life for ourselves here, in this world of dragons..

...But the Spiral hasn't left. Even here, the curse persists, but in a far more mild way. It appears to only be contained to a few individuals...And it appears that the one responsible for the Eternal Curse is present in this clan as well... She even seems to know us...
