Often found roaming the halls as a ghostly apparition, Fathom appeared entranced by his own vast knowledge. He possesses a vast mental archive of knowledge ranging from Sornieth archaeology to astronomy. A soft-voiced, gleeful drake, Fathom enjoys the company of the most peculiar of the mages and augurs of the clan Thunder-Arrow. Many mistake his joyful demeanor as innocence and harmlessness, but Fathom is far from either. He claims he fell from the cosmos, from a distant, icy realm where the stars and their flares of energy lie trapped beneath centuries of ice. Fathom arrived in Thunder-Arrow in the same icy sarcophagus, but his power startling beyond comparison. Able to hold his own against Apollo in sparing sessions, Fathom obviously came to the clan with distinct reason: a beacon for help. Fathom’s own fate led him here, for his kind are all but extinct, save for him. Arriving in this alien environment with stars burning with power comparable to his own, Fathom sought to enlist the help of these fellow stars in defeating a common ally…Though it seems as though this threat that wiped out Fathom’s kind has had a lasting impact on the gleeful coatl; he clings to new friends quite rapidly, fearful of losing what he couldn’t hold onto before….
