Warlock of Storms
"The only reason I live is because of my Goddess."
Out flying over the Sea of a Thousand Currents, Trueno was struck down by a mighty bolt on lightning. He plummeted into the sea and began fighting to stay afloat. His thrashing could not save him, and Trueno sunk below the waves. His body sunk deeper and deeper until the Imperial found his way into the mouth of the Leviathan Trench.
As his body began to grow cold, something ancient and powerful reached out from an abyss darker than any other. A mighty tentacle larger than any known sea beast gently caressed the lifeless body of Trueno and carried him into the cave the tentacle had come from.
Inside, the beast turned the young dragon over with her monstrous tentacles inspecting him. Yes, He will do.. She slowly opened her maw, teeth like those of an angler fish, and pooled magic at the back of her throat. The light highlighted her horrid features.
She possessed a tongue like a thorny vine, and as wild as a startled worm. Her eyes were large and as black as the void. Her head was broad as a Ridgeback's, but her snout was as sleek as a Guardian's. A mane of frills and gills covered the sides of her head and neck.
With a swish of her wicked tongue, she sent the magic to the lifeless Trueno. Once it touched his chest, he began to move again. His mind began to blur, and his vision pulsed with a bright blue light. He felt power and strength that he had not known before. Life and unspeakable powers coursed though his body, mind, and soul.
The beast, nay, the Goddess told him to spread the news of her existence to others. She told Trueno that he will live for centuries to come, aided by the powerful magic that history has forgotten.
Trueno agreed and eagerly promised his life to his lovely Goddess, and returned home with an arsenal of stories to tell the others of his promise to his Goddess.
