Hyat's parents are personal guards for Tuchariin Okull's leader, Xilu, and his lover, Peryite.

As soon as the children are old enough, Seramune and Falaeron begin training them in the art of close combat; both to give them an edge when they decide to stretch their wings, and to aid the clan during their stay — if the need should arise.


Hyat always felt the most comfortable with a weapon in her hand, and never failed to let such a fact show, regardless of who her opponent was.

She left home with the dream of becoming a prized fighter.

Hyat, champion of the arena. The very same fighting ring that saw Tantala defeated. In fact, it was Hyat herself who was the one to take the skydancer down. Now they've both ended up in the same clan. Tantala, from trying to escape her bitter loss and Hyat for a much simpler reason: She was recruited. Hyat has joined Kubera's warband, for the similar lifestyle she's previously lived. She still gets to battle to rake in riches, but this time she does it with the protection of her fellow warriors by her side instead of alone in a pit.

Hyat has a grace that is not readily apparent in her size which comes to her advantage in fights. Quick of claw, she doesn't waste any time showing off in fights, preferring a fast, brutal defeat that makes sure her opponent doesn't get up again after she knocks them down.
