Prosperpina knows what it is to be hungry. The first part of her life saw her scrounging for food because she hatched on her own and had no family or clan to take care of her. Food was a desperate need and would be taken in whatever form she could find it. Unfortunately, not enough was found and she ended up starving to death. A kind older dragon found the little one's remains and buried her under an apple tree to hopefully give the pitiful creature a happy afterlife. Several days later, a new creature crawled out of the ground... a strange fusion of dragon bone and tree. Until she was lucky enough to stumble onto Chaotic Daydreams and immediately get adopted, Prosperpina spent a lot of time being chased away from places as some sort of malevolent creature. As a consequence, the pearlcatcher never wants anyone to be hungry around her. She knows all too well how horrible it is to wonder if you will get enough sustenance in time to save your body from giving out on you. And once she actually had the safety and security to learn how to live a different way, to taste new foods and eat them for flavor and texture instead of just survival, Proserpina was utterly hooked. When you come to Chaotic Daydreams, make sure you're in the mood for a bite to eat. Proserpina will feed anyone who will sit still for it, and often takes caravans around to neighboring lairs to see if anyone needs some help. And though she now has enough food whenever she needs or wants it, the other lunatics in the lair know that the reborn dragon has food squirreled away in her quarters... just in case. No one touches her stashes because they all know too well what it is to have compulsions and fears. Besides, Proserpina is easy to shop for. Any new food item is gleefully accepted. She'll turn around and make it into something for everyone... just like the love she gets from her clan. |
