Bellarus is a wanderer Gardian that never felt the pull of the Search. Despite that when he reached his adulthood he left his clan to travel all over Sornieth.

When traveling the Woodlands of the Tangled Woods he was bitten by a strange looking Nocturne, since then his appearance changed slightly and he feels oddly feral when in direct contact with the full moon's light (which he avoids to he best of his ability). In one of his travels he found a Shadow Enchanter that crafted a beaded necklace made of blackwood, it's very heavy, but it helps him immensely, even more in nights where the moon's is at it's full.

He's a lonely creature by nature, never feeling connected with anyone or any place, his only constant companion being his friend Feathers, an equally silent and lonesome Aviar that was thrown away from his own clan. Neither talk much nor know much about each other's past aside from snippets they share here and there, but they found companionship in each other and their silent natures makes for good company without the need to communicate much. Despite everything, they love each other in their own quiet and soft way, both being deeply grateful to have found someone that they could share they life with without the other having expectations thrown upon them.

They stopped at Patera Town to rest and were invited by Bellize to act as guards in the Shrine temporarily when the last one retired, Bellarus accepted since his funds were low and Feathers stayed because, well, he honestly didn't have others plans and his only friend is Bellarus.

It was temporary at first, but both ended up enjoying the quietude of the Shrine they guarded and how the other residents respected them both, their need to be alone most often than not, their own silence and every other characteristic both of them had that for so long (somehow) offended others they travelled with or interacted.

They are now considered official guards despite not actually being told that and it's been a few quite uneventful and peaceful years for them both. Sometimes they talk in hushed tones about leaving one day and both agree that they probably will, but not yet, not now.
