 EPHRAIM PRIAMOS KOVALEV MERCENARY, BERSERKER «- - - - - - - - - - - - - ❖ - - - - - - - - - - - - -» An intimidating man to look at, Ephraim is one of the two people most visitors to the Syndicate's home base Cathedral. He's a stocky man with significant musculature, missing his left arm below the elbow which is usually replaced with a prosthetic loaded axe-head, various other bits of weaponry laid at his feet. At first he tends to frighten, but as soon as someone begins to talk to him he turns to smile warmly. There's an energy about him which radiates with the same warmth as his brother Eden: almost always the kindest person in the room, Ephraim looks to improve the day of everyone he interacts with. Like most whom act in this way, Ephraim had a hard upbringing. He was a sickly child whose parents passed away young. Whilst Eden worked himself to the bone doing whatever was necessary, as soon as Ephraim hit his growth spurt he enlisted himself with a local gang. Whilst his gentle heart wept, his desire to do any sort of violence less than none, they needed money. This continued when the two boys were recruited to the Thanatos Syndicate: at this point he found that he had few other talents. What he did have, and still does, is the capacity for brute strength. Surprisingly reserved, Ephraim never raises his voice and tends to stick to the shadows of any crowds. Whilst he does have a dry streak he is very much used to being the voice of reason, evening out the more fantastical tempers and choices his friends make. That doesn't mean that he doesn't act out himself- he can be a bit of a prankster at times. This is entirely opposed to the way he fights: with absolute ferocity, he completely loses himself in the blood and turns into an animalistic whirlwind of death. It is only when the fight is done that he comes back out of it with a embarrassed smile, wishing that perhaps one day that fight will be the last.
