Bloody only reached the Wastelands after adulthood, but differently than most dragons here he thrived. Afflicted by the infection right after entering these cursed lands he lost his memories from his past and almost died, when he woke up though he was stronger, faster, deadlier and unhealthily territorial and violent.

He wandered the Wastes alone for some years until meeting Mary, another infected Pearlcatcher as deadly as him, at first they fought over territory for a few days, but after noticing how well matched their strength was Bloody asked for a truce.

They started sharing the territory that later would become the Plagued Souls' Clan, yet for months Mary avoided him out of caution. With time they grew closer and after a year or two they even started considering each other friends.

Slowly they made what today is the Clan's home, a huge complex of underground caves called The Wormhole. Over the years Bloody's tolerance over other dragons grew and despite undoubtedly still infected by the very land, his mind grew clearer and he learned to control his instincts.

Today he's a vicious yet a fair leader, that knows how to guide the dragons under his wing throughout the hardships of this land. Also, he is not alone, for Mary, his best friend and companion is always there to lead him to the right path if he strays.

PEARLCATCHER

Pearlcatcher dragons are haughty, independent creatures who consider themselves apart from the rest of dragonkind, Blood still carries with him an air of nobility, but most of it was lost after being infected, he's acts closer to the Mirrors of the Wastes than a Pearlcatcher.

The Pearlcatcher species originates from the Sunbeam Ruins, where their population continues to thrive.

Pearlcatchers are a mid-sized breed. Females possess a single, shining horn, while males have two, though one of Bloody's horns are almost completely decayed. These dragons have compact bodies and leathery wings, in Bloody's case his flight is slightly affected because of his wings' leather degradation after the infection. A short, coarse mane runs down the length of their head and neck, and tufts of fur sprout from their elbows, ankles, and tail tips. Two long, sensitive whiskers grow from their muzzles, though Bloody can't fell anything anymore through them and because of that he almost ripped them apart by accident, the species also have large, mobile ears capable of independent movement, but again, because of the changes in his body and biology Blood has difficulty to move them separately.

Since the very first time he opened his eyes as an infected, Bloody fought. He was so territorial in the beginning that he hunted down even the smallest animals, his whole body filled with bloodlust.

For years he roamed the Wastes enganging in battle after battle and thanks to that he gained his name, for when he flew, the skies rained blood. With time his bloodlust dwindled, but not his fame, until today many avoid the areas that used to be his territory.

As far as Bloody can remember he never lost, he almost lost his life many times, but despite that he always ended up the winner, the only exception was Mary, the first dragon that was able to fight him head on and without fear.
