The Sea of a Thousand Currents holds many mysteries... and many tears. The waves attract many a broken heart from across Sornieth, a Siren's call to soothe the soul. Aurum never felt at home in the Tangled Wood. His brilliant scales were the source of mass mocking, ill-suited for sneaking in the shadows. Even more painful was his burning desire to show his beauty to the world, rather than hide in some dark corner of a cave. Finally, tired of covering himself in mud and tar to try and fit in, he took flight to the Sea to meditate upon his life and find acceptance... or perhaps just peace.

However, not all life change is for ill. The Sea of a Thousand Currents, while a place to drown sorrow, also gathers many of a like mind, leading to unique opportunities. After wandering the twisted shores for several days, Aurum passed through the Tsunami Flats. His gaze fell upon a sight he never thought possible to see; two female Bogsneaks with scales and colors as brilliant as his own! As it turns out, Crystalia and Esmeralda each had their own strifes that drove them from their respective homes, leading them to the Sea as well. The three of them quickly bonded into a mated trio, and took flight across Sornieth to find a new land to call home. The Southern Icefield was their final visitation, and the frozen glaciers called to them as a place as beautiful as their own crystaline bodies. They happily accepted the invitation to settle among the floes of Clan Pokéfan. The trio now nests often, later adopting Boulder to their family. They are all delighted to serve Icewarden, sharing their beauty through their offspring to the rest of the Flights.
