Biography
Ieremiya is the clan's blacksmith. He spends all day at his forge, creating everything from armour to cutlery. He also makes nails and other necessities for the many building projects the clan is always undertaking, or to repair already made structures. His secret to making great tools is one he rarely speaks of - in the lantern that sits at his chest resides a fire spirit, Xaphan. He heats his forge in the morning and tells him secrets he has learned about fire. They befriended each other quite accidentally one day - the spirit appeared in Ieremiya's blazing forge and rather than being alarmed by him, the fae decided to chat - they quickly grew to enjoy each other's company, and the spirit decided (whether or not Ieremiya was interested) to spend some more time with him. He's been by his side ever since. On damp days when the coals refuse to come to life, Xaphan can always wake them up with a whispered word or a snap of his fingers. He often worried how others perceived him until he overheard a friend at his old clan named Murakali describe him to a new clanmate. "He can come across as intimidating, but don't let his stare or the flames around him put you off. He lives his life in constant wonder of the world and all of its peculiarities. He can be a bit hard to understand at times, but that doesn't mean he isn't a good friend." Since he's a fae, he's not very openly emotional, and due to having aspergers he sometimes even struggles to properly express himself through his crests. However, once a dragon gets to know him they'll find he's incredibly honest (sometimes to a fault) and reliable. Above all else, he'll always be there for his friends and loved ones. |
