Xander was born to a Lightning clan that was very hardworking and scientific. He liked it there a lot. His family taught him well. They trained him at fighting and taught him about the dangers of the world and how the Lightning clan wanted to save dragonkind from its own stupidity. Xander took very well to all this. He grew into a strong young teenager who definitely knew how to handle themselves. But of course, nothing good can last forever. Not with the luck dragons of Vokun tend to have.

His clan was at war with another. The clan went to confront their enemy, only to be met by an ambush. Very few dragons survived. Xander was one of the lucky teenagers who made it out with his life. But he looked around, and everything changed inside him. He saw the bloodied corpses of his family, and he lost all feeling in his heart. Xander never spoke another word after that. Not even once did he make a single sound out of his mouth. It was almost as though he was mute. He moved around from clan to clan, trying to find a place that wouldn’t keep trying to “fix” him. The Imperial wasn’t broken.

He soon found Vokun instead. This clan welcomed him just like any other member. He wasn’t asked to speak and he wasn’t forced to socialize. They asked him what he would like to do to pitch in, and he went immediately to the unkempt morgue. He chose the role of an undertaker, which meant he’d be spending more time with the dead than the living. He put on a mask and a hood and isolated himself as much as possible. He is quiet and mysterious and no one could really figure him out. No one in the clan knew where he came from, but he is very skilled at many trades, including battle, so everyone figures that he was taught well in Lightning. They’re not wrong. Most of the clan stayed away from him.

Eventually he departed Vokun, and returned to his homeland. He visited Yohn's clan during his travels, where he learned of Yohn's predicament. Trained within the Tempest Spire, Xander was easily able to pick up a job as an undertaker again. With this new position, he examines the bodies of Yohn's team, trying to discover the secret of the cover-up.
