Biography

Inventory Clerk ~ Ship's Chandler

Joined clan 2/18/19
--It was the azure facet
Needs new tertiary gene?: capsule

Chandler, or ship chandler: A dealer offering supplies such as rope, lard, tools and galley supplies. See also sutler.

Sutler: A merchant in port, selling the various things that a ship needs for supplies and repairs.
  • Mysterious origins; clan wasn't sure if she came to them direct from her birth clan (WishdragonAlex, #339833) or if there was a stop in between
  • Hadn't intended for her to join the clan, but she caught their eye while clan dragons were picking up dragons that had joined their training program.
  • Clan leaders decided she would be a good initial candidate for their new venture, the Outpost, a location on the coast of the icefields designed to increase trade for the clan.
  • Birth clan: Wind - two skydancer parents who have Lightning/Wind backgrounds.
  • In charge of supplies for the Outpost - they would be cut off a good portion of the year and need to be able to survive on their own. would work out logistics of shutting goods and supplies from main clan and back. in charge of storeroom/making sure nothing spoiled or ruined. (cold obviously helps with that, but no melting/getting things wet)
  • joined clan well ahead of any other members of the Outpost. Was in charge of outlining the needs of setting up this sub-clan.
  • wanted an ultimate buttersnake as her companion, just like her father's, but clan's was already spoken for.
  • longneck wanderer (scout) with (new dragon) to set up route and determine location
  • vain, like the female skydancers tend to be. jewels instead of wing silks. unusual for someone working in the outpost / rougher conditions, but she refused to give up the luxury.

With the lair expansion, clan leaders decided it was time to create an outpost on the coast to better facilitate trade. Given the weather issues and dragons trying to venture deep into the Southern Icefields.

First mistake was not manning it with long time clan members. They brought on new dragons to run the outpost. Celestura was brought on as the first member of the outpost and stayed with the main clan while it was being built. The Skydancer was in charge of supplies - keeping the outpost stocked and making sure that supplies travelled back and forth between the clan and the coastal settlement. She was ruthless - and had to be to survive.

Why would a Wind dragon be interested in such a position? Rumor has it that she was on the market to be exalted to a deity - any deity. Her favored brother stayed with the home clan while she was sent off to whoever would have her. Her other brother secured a position within an upstart Arcane clan. She resented both of them and the position she found herself. None of her new clan members knew this, however, as she guarded information about herself closely. It was by sheer luck that she ended up with Clan Diamond Dust - and if they hadn't been in the middle of a big expansion, there's no way they would have added Celestura, or any other dragon to their clan. Their numbers has been stagnant for years with only the occasional new dragon added to the clan after careful deliberation.

Being one of the original members of the Outpost put Celestura in an enviable position. In the main clan, she would have always been a newer and less important dragon, given how long many of them held their positions. At the Outpost, she had a position of importance and seniority.

And, well, if she lined HER coffers with some of the profits too, who would know?

Exalting Celestura to the service of the Icewarden will remove them from your lair forever. They will leave behind a small sum of riches that they have accumulated. This action is irreversible.
