Hamal's presence was intimidating to the smaller dragons residing within the clan, despite his best efforts to prove that he is harmless. Originally from the Scarred Wasteland, Hamal doesn't speak of his hatchlinghood while under the Plaguebringer, it was something he would rather not recall ever again in his lifetime. To help lighten his appearance (and hopefully appear friendlier), Hamal covered his dark colors with lighter, more earthy tones despite now residing within the Sunbeam Ruins under the Lightweaver. The large imperial can't forgive the Lightwaver for believing his kind to be a mistake - fully believing the conception of Emperors to be her doing considering the first and currently only record of an Emperor being that of Luminax, the emperor who terrorizes those residing within it's wake and surrounding areas. The Lightweaver herself created his breed, perhaps being another reason he resents her for her words. Hamal doesn't focus on that for too long though, he has to keep his focus on finding cures for his friends should they ever get infected with the infestations spreading from the Wyrmwound.
