Since Miya was only recently pulled up into the academic class via betrothal, she mostly does grunt work, alchemizing the materials that the academics need in greater amounts than most clans would ever use. She does very good work, but she has not innovated very much due to having so much other work to do. Still, she has produced much useful documentation of things that most alchemists learned from each other. She hasn't told anyone, but she is considering commissioning a Riverglint book for her findings.

More recently, Soric was assigned to be her apprentice, which takes some of the workload off.
